Election Day
There is such a divide in our country and it is all due to our two party system, which clearly is doing more harm than good anymore.
Your potential is hiding in plain sight, behind the things you are avoiding.
Finding your AF
Spent a lot of time outside today. Hiked on the K-Hill trail, which is awesome. Ended up going up to the top of the k hill, that is called the Indian dance hall. Got 3/4 the way up and the last stretch got to steep, so we were turning around to go back down. I got thinking to myself. Self, you set out to go to the top, so finish it. And so I did!!! Everyday i try to embody the potential that I have. Today that just meant to finish what I set out to do. It’s in the small goals that we finish do we really gain our most confidence. Quitting half way through will just have such a negative impact on our lives.
Columbus Day
A good friend inspired me to write about Columbus Day… I am like, “What’s that got to do with anything we are talking about here?” She said, “Well, you are always talking about missing the boat.” So…..
A good friend inspired me to write about Columbus Day… I am like, “What’s that got to do with anything we are talking about here?” She said, “Well, you are always talking about missing the boat.” So…..Columbus was a skilled sailor who knew how to navigate his ship and he ended up finding America when he thought it was India. How many times have we thought we knew where we were going only to find out that we were way off course and not headed where we had planned. So many of us go through life getting mad at our situation because we are not where we thought we should be. We got blown off course. We didn’t adjust our sails. We didn’t trust our gut instincts or even worse, we just quit. And still, even trusting our instincts can lead us to a place that we need to be but not where we want to be. God’s got a plan for us all and “sometimes” getting blown off course is a wonderful stroke of luck.
Keep pushing.
One paradox of life is this; “Why are bad habits so easy to fall into to, and good ones, so hard to stick to?”
Tell me one goo thing that didn’t come without stress and anxiety. There isn’t one. You have to keep pushing through the hard to get to where you wanna be. You gotta just keep showing up. And on the other side of the stress of anxiety, is the Promised Land; a place that most people will never get to. Remember this, it is always darkest before the dawn.
